The UEFA Pro Course for Trainers combines the best theoretical training with practical experience at federated Spanish teams. For anyone with an ambition to enter the world of coaching, this program will give you the tools you need to achieve your goals.
- Option 1
The academy organises an intensive two month program aimed at individual coaches. The course runs between the months of September and June.
- Option 2
In addition, for groups of coaches, there is the chance to attend official courses run by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) in which you can study for and obtain a UEFA Pro A or B licence.
These courses also last for two months and take place between May and June. The RFEF course requires an enrolment quota of at least 20 coaches and participants must have an intermediate level of Spanish.
- Option 3
The third option, also for groups of coaches, is a flexible program which can be adapted to suit the needs of each group. The programs can last between 4 and 12 weeks and are developed in partnership with RFEF.
This course also gives coaches the chance to obtain their UEFA licence. Coaches that are coming from another country also have the option of using a translator during their stay.
This course also requires a minimum enrolment of 20 coaches.
These new program offered by the Seville Academy are geared towards young people over the age of 18 from anywhere in the world.
In the individual programme, participants have the chance to be integrated into the coaching team of a federated club such as AD Nervión (the third most successful football club in Seville behind Sevilla FC and Real Betis).
Participants will work as an assistant for two sessions per day (morning and afternoon), 3-4 times a week, with each session lasting between 2 and 2.5 hours. During this time, they will help the academy trainers as well as the coaches of the team where they are training.
Participants will also receive English classes in the mornings for a total of 7.5 hours a week between Monday and Friday.
In the RFEF course, language classes are optional.
For internal programs, the coaches are accommodated at the San Estanislao del Campo university residence where they have full board accommodation (except at weekends).
During their stay at the academy, coaches will attend training sessions and league matches of the city’s top teams, Real Betis and Sevilla FC.
UEFA Pro Training Program for Trainers
The Seville Academy is an ideal option for coaches who wish to study Spanish football and practice with a federated team.
This academy, which works in partnership with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), offers an individual program as well as two programs for groups of coaches, lasting 2-3 months.
Football Training is guided by coaches of the UEFA Pro Course for Trainers at their installations in Seville.
Participants must 18 years old or over.
Some programs include the option to obtain the UEFA Pro A or B licence. These licences allow the holder to coach football teams of any country of the UEFA territory.
In Spain, there are three academic levels which are equivalent to these European qualifications.
- Football Instructor, Intermediate level (Level 1): This is equivalent to UEFA B Licence and enables holders to coach teams in the categories of junior and elementary level.
- Título de Técnico Deportivo en Fútbol de Grado Medio (Nivel 2): This is equivalent to the UEFA A Licence and enables holders to coach all affiliated teams.
- Football Instructor, Intermediate level (Level 2): This is equivalent to UEFA Pro Licence and enables holders to coach all affiliated football teams. It is the highest level and to obtain this licence, coaches must have obtained the two aforementioned qualifications.
Through our excellent practical program, participants have the chance to be integrated into the coaching team of a federated club such as AD Nervión (the third most successful football club in Seville behind Sevilla FC and Real Betis).
The coaches will work as an assistant for two sessions per day 3 or 4 times a week. Each session lasts between 2 and 2.5 hours and allows the coaches to carry out the role of assistant to the technical team.
At the weekend, the trainees will help out at the matches played by the affiliated team where they have been placed for their practical training program.
To complement the sports element of the UEFA Pro Course for Trainers, the Seville Football Academy offers the trainee coaches the chance to include English or Spanish classes in their schedule.
If this option is selected, the students will attend 90 minutes of language lesson each morning between Monday and Friday. The lessons are delivered by fully-qualified native language teachers.
Language classes at Football camp
The language classes aim to break down the barriers in world of football by improving communication between players from different countries.
Languages classes are included in the price of the individual coaching programme. However, in the RFEF course or the personalised programme, they are available as an optional extra at additional cost.
At the end of the course, all trainees receive a certificate of accreditation, detailing the number of hours of language study they have completed.
Agenda & Activities
During their time studying at the UEFA Pro Course in Seville, participants will be scheduled to practice at local club AD Nervión. However, if there are more than 20 trainees, some of them may train with another federated team in Seville.

The weekend schedule will include a combination of competitions, activities and free time.
Daily Agenda at UEFA Pro Course for Coaches
After starting the day with a good breakfast, participants will usually assist the coaches at the Seville Academy, working as part of the academy’s technical training program for individual players and small groups.
Before having lunch at the residence, coaches will receive 1.5 hours a day (Monday to Friday) of English or Spanish classes.
In the afternoon, participants will have time to relax and recharge their batteries before taking part in a training session with the federated team they have been allocated.
At the weekend, the coaches can enjoy some free time and attend matches of AD Nervión. There will also be an opportunity to attend a league match of Seville FC or Real Betis.
Learn from the best
The coaches will also get a chance to build their knowledge and methodology by making weekly visits to the professional training sessions of Real Betis and Seville FC.
In summary, the course provides all the tools that a budding coach may need to give them the best chance of succeeding in their dream role.
Accommodation & Facilities
The morning classes of the UEFA Pro Course for Coaches are held at the municipal sports facilities of Valencina de la Concepción.
In the afternoon, the trainees will head to the Antonio Puerta training grounds, which are used by local federated club AD Nervión. The facilities features an 11-a-side artificial pitch and another smaller pitch for 7-a-side games.
In addition, there are four changing rooms, a multi-use sport hall and gym, floodlights and a stand with capacity for 1,500 spectators.
Coaches who attend the UEFA Pro Course for Trainers in Seville are accommodated at the Rector Estanislao del Campo university residence. These modern facilities are well located next to the Benito Villamarín stadium (home of Real Betis) and are the official residence of the University of Seville.
The residence has a total 380 rooms of three types: individual, double or apartment style with two bedrooms. All rooms have a private bathroom, fitted kitchen, desk and chair, air conditioning, smoke alarm system, telephone, internet connection and television.
In addition, guests can enjoy a wide range of other services at the residence, including a dining room with a varied daily menu (Monday to Friday), solarium, parking, swimming pool, gardens, photocopier, study rooms, self-service laundry, information room, library and common room with television. Residents have 24 hour access to the residence via an ID card.
The residence also benefits from being close to the Hospital Virgen del Rocio.
Transport between facilities
Travelling between the residence and sports facilities via public transport is straightforward, safe and reliable. There is a bus stop next to the entrance to the residence, a public bike hire service (SEVICI), and a RENFE railway station just a few minutes’ walk away.

If you want to book a coaching course at the Seville Academy, you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total cost upon booking. The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the course is due to start.
After paying the initial deposit, participants who need to apply for a visa will be provided with a letter of acceptance by the academy.
