Academy / Club history
Juventus Football Club was founded in 1897 by a group of students from the Liceo Massimo D’Azeglio. The name Juventus (youths) reflected the average age of the very first players to represent the team from Turin.
The team competed in its very first Italian championship in 1900 but did not pass the first round of the competition. After changing their shirt colour from black and pink to black and white in 1905, the team achieved their first success by winning league championship.
The following season Juventus reached the final once again but unexpectedly decided not to play. In 1906, the club was on the verge of disappearing as some members wanted to relocate to Switzerland and change the clubs name.
However, the team survived and after the First World War, Juventus became one of the best teams in Italy. In 1923, Edoardo Agnelli bought the club and they enjoyed success after success, winning many titles.
Between 1930 and 1935, a team featuring Rosetta, Munerati and Bertolini led Juventus to victory in five consecutive Italian championships. The squad also included such skilful Italian-Argentine footballers as Cesarini, Monti and Mumo.
During this era Juventus, were based at the Stadio Municipale Benito Mussolini, having left the Umberto I Velodrome and prior to that, the Corso Sebastopoli and the Corso Marsiglia.
In 1938, they were runners-up in the Italian Football Championship, and in 1938 and 1942 they were crowned champions of the Coppa Italia before football was put on hold during World War II.
In 1947, Gianni Agnelli was named honorary president at just 25 years of age and by 1952 Juventus had won their ninth league title. A 10th championship followed in 1958 and as honourable multi-champions, the Italian side wear permitted to wear the Golden Star for Sport Excellence. They were in fact the first Italian to be awarded this distinction.
While rivals AC Milan dominated Italian football in the 1960s, Juventus returned to prominence in the 1970s winning nine league championships in a 15-year period between 1971 and 1986. In 1977, they also added a UEFA Cup trophy to their collection beating Spanish club Athletic Bilbao over two legs.
During these years, Juve boasted the likes of Gentile, Cabrini, Scirea, Tardelli and Rossi, who were all part of Italy’s 1982 World Cup Winning squad. Foreign stars such as Michel Platini and Liam Brady also hit their peak in Turin at this time.
In 1990, Juventus moved to the Delle Alpi Stadium and within five years, they had secured their twentieth league title, and a second Golden Star for Sport Excellence in the process.
During the 1990s, The Old Lady also won the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Cup, the UEFA Intertoto Cup, the UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup.
In 2006, a match-fixing scandal involving players and staff from many clubs including Juventus saw the club demoted to the second division. Many top stars such as Buffon, Del Piero, Trezeguet and Camorenesi stayed at the club and soon helped them regain their top-flight status.
Today, the club once again stands as one of the greats of world football.

The morning session last 2 and 30 minutes, while the afternoon session is slightly shorter at 2 hours and 15 minutes.
The sessions include physical, technical and tactical training on the field of play as well as theoretical classes where audio-visual material is used to educate the young sports persons in the Juventus way of playing.

In addition, the camp enables students to learn new technical aspects and to expand their tactical knowledge, while cultivating a healthy competitive spirit with fellow students from all over the world.
The training is marked by the slogan:
PLAY, FEEL, GROW AND IMPROVE
