Training program

Technical, Physical, Tactical, and Mental Training
Training is where most of the players’ abilities are developed and refined. The academy employs several UEFA A-level coaches who have played and coached professionally both in the UK and around the world.
The academy focuses on creating the conditions for success for each player individually and through coaching throughout a weekly program. By adding these training sessions to a schedule that includes gym sessions and matches, the players’ development will be accelerated in a positive and professional environment.
Players are placed in the team appropriate for their age, ability, and physique, allowing them to quickly settle in and become accustomed to the level/intensity of English football. There is an opportunity for players to progress through the age groups and compete as high as their ability allows. Players at the Liverpool High Performance Academy train three times per week with a minimum of one match per week. As is the nature of the academy, players are encouraged to play at the highest possible level, and established players are encouraged to progress to semi-professional level if their status and ability allow.
The Academy’s women’s program provides girls with the opportunity to live with host families or in university accommodation. Women’s football is constantly growing across the UK, but especially in Liverpool, with highly successful Women’s Super League teams located nearby. Investment in women’s football is at an all-time high, and there has never been a better time to move to the UK to play.
Its program stands out from other academies in several ways:
- It prepares players for different paths: playing professionally or semi-professionally in the UK or abroad, or applying for a university scholarship.
- Exposure to scouts/coaches/managers at the professional and semi-professional levels (UK and abroad).
- Top players are invited to participate in European trips to test their skills against other teams.
- It is one of only three private academies in the UK invited to compete in the Dallas Cup, one of the most prestigious youth tournaments in football featuring some of the best players in the world.
- Some of the most successful members of the world of football visit the Academy to give in-person talks to the players.
Technological innovations applied to sports performance
The academy uses the most advanced sports science equipment to assist coaches and players, including performance analysis that provides statistical and video feedback to our players and coaches—two excellent tools for individual and team development. GPS systems allow them to track players’ physical performance, monitor training load, and measure performance metrics such as distance covered, maximum speed, and energy expenditure.
Players benefit from the latest sports science, Pixelot, PlayerMaker, and PlayerTek, allowing them to record, monitor, and review their performance match-by-match and over time. A strong team of sports scientists from the Liverpool High Performance Academy will also provide support throughout the season.

Signing up for an annual programme at a soccer academy is an excellent investment in the future.
■ Before deciding to make a significant investment and sign their child up in a football academy for a whole year, many parents prefer their children to attend a short-term programme to see if it’s the right academy for them. Besides that, the academy’s coaches will take the opportunity to assess your child’s abilities and recommend the best options for them.
■ Alternatively, as parents, you may feel confident enough in this academy and would like to sign your child up for a long-term programme.
Whatever your case may be, we invite you to fill in the form you’ll find below and we’ll get in touch with you to discuss the different enrolment options for your child.
How to enroll in the Liverpool High Performance Football Academy?

OPTION 1 – RECOMMENDED: ON-SITE TEST
The most recommended option is to participate in a short-term program during the summer. This allows the player to get to know the staff and the day-to-day life at the academy before spending a long period of time training at the center. The academy can also get to know the player and examine his level more accurately.
OPTION 2: DISTANCE REGISTRATION
Students who are unable to attend a short program to try out the academy can initiate enrollment remotely. With this option, the level and competition experience of the player must be accredited in order for the staff to assess whether or not he/she is eligible for the long term program.
