This camp is designed for girls and boys between the ages of 11 and 17 years of age who want to spend a few weeks playing basketball, learning English and, above all, having fun. Participants stay in the “Fun World” residential complex, located in Skegness, a coastal city in the north east of England, famous for its beautiful beaches, safe environment and friendly people.
This is, without doubt, an experience which will bring the participants much more than just learning about sport.

This basketball camp offers 20 hours a week of coaching, comprising physical training and mental preparation for games.
The camp is open to participants of any skill level. During the camp, the young people will improve their skills of throwing, passing, defending, dribbling, roundbunding, controlling angles in defence or attack positions and team working.
The young people are coached at the campus sports complex, located five minutes’ walk from the residence. They are placed into groups according to their age and English level.

The camp includes 12 hours of English classes per week. On arrival the participants take a level test, which the teachers use to place them in a group with other students of a similar level. Classes normally have between 12 and 14 students, the maximum number is 16. All the teachers are native speakers of English.

Lessons are focussed on spoken and written English, as well as grammar. The classes explore a range of themes and there is a communicative focus, encouraging the practical application of the language learned.
At the conclusion of the course, all students receive their course materials and a diploma.

Activities take place in the afternoons. As well as being a place where visitors enjoy all types of watersports, Funworld Coast has tennis courts, sports halls, Wii, discos, laser, archery, ten pin bowling, musical shows and movies. The camp also organises team games, circus skills workshops and excursions to explore the area.

Wake up and shower/bath
During the camp, participants can go on a full day excursion to explore the surrounding areas, for example Peterborough, Hull or Cambridge. The cost of the excursion is included in the price.

Steps to make a reservation for the camp
- Step 1: Make a payment of 50% of the total cost of the program. (If you reserve after May 31st, you must pay 100% of the cost of the program to reserve.)
- Step 2: Turn in the required documents duly completed.
Once you have completed steps 1 and 2, we’ll send you a confirmation of your reservation.
Once you have received the confirmation, you can buy your transportation tickets. If you have reserved the transfer service, be sure to send us an email regarding the details of your trip so we can successfully transport you to the camp.
