The winter football camp is designed as an alternative to the popular summer camps that we already offer but that might not be suitable for everyone. The dates coincide with the school holiday schedule in many countries.
The Seville winter camp is open to young players from all countries, so the program also offers a rich and rewarding multi-cultural experience.
The coaching program is led by trainers with substantial experience in the first and second divisions of the Spanish Professional Football Leagues. The sessions take place in mornings and afternoons and players with any level of ability are welcome to take part.
As well as making progress in the sport they love, the young people also receive 7.5 hours of English or Spanish classes between Monday and Friday.
Students are accommodated in the ‘Rector Estanislao del Campo’ University Residence, which is located next to the Benito Villamarín Stadium - home to Real Betis Balompié Football Club. Accommodation is full board and there is a choice of single or double rooms.
The winter camp takes place in the last two weeks of January and the first two weeks of February and bookings can be made from one to four weeks. However, there is room for further flexibility and students can also request to take part in the winter camp during the first week of January.
During their stay in the winter camp, students will take part in coaching sessions at the municipal facilities (Antonio Puerta) of local club AD Nervión.
Training takes place three times a week in double sessions (morning and afternoon) that are adapted for all levels. The morning sessions are dedicated to academy training sessions, while the afternoon sessions will give the players a chance to work with a semi-professional team such as AD Nervión. However, the exact training program will be tailored to the age and ability of the players.
The camp’s technical staff have a wealth of experience from their work with teams in the Spanish Professional Football League and their affiliated categories.
In the initial stages of the camp, players will be assessed by the coaches and then grouped according to their level. The training groups are kept small, thus enabling better communication between the players and making it easier to learn new concepts effectively.
Students will also participate in various tournaments and friendly matches so they can put into practice what they have learned during their coaching sessions.
The Seville Football Academy embraces a methodology that combines basic training with intensive exercises that promote the entertaining style of play which dominates Spanish football today. The academy also boats a specific facility for goalkeepers who want to improve their skills through technical training.
Spanish or English classes
At the Seville winter camp, the participants can take away more than just and improved level of sporting knowledge and ability. The camp also offers Spanish and English language classes each morning between Monday and Friday.
The young footballers can boost their level under the guidance of expert teachers during the 90 minute daily lessons.
Language classes at Football camp
The English and Spanish classes are conducted by teachers who are native speakers in the chosen language. The lessons cover the basic skills necessary to tackle daily situations. Moreover, the students will be in constant communication with Spanish and English speaking people outside of the class room, resulting in a totally immersive language experience.
At the end of the course, each student will receive a certificate of accreditation outlining the number of hours that they have studied in their language of choice.

The later sessions may involve taking part in a friendly match or enjoying an excursion or cultural activity.
The weekends will feature more competitions, excursions and activities to ensure that the young footballers have a great time during their stay.
