Milan Dublin Training
The football training sessions at the AC Milan summer camp take place in various sporting facilities in the city of Dublin. All of the training camps are hosted by first class coaches from the elite Italian team.
All of the training sessions take place between in the afternoon between Monday and Friday, resulting in a total of 10 hours of football training each week.
Training is geared towards students between 11 and 17 years of ages and is normally held groups of 10 to 12 students, up to a maximum of 15.
The aptly-named Soccer Multi Activity Training Program aims to boost practical development and increase knowledge of field tactics including passing, ball control and attacking skills.
It also covers the application of concepts such as organised team defence, strategy without the ball, dribbling, shooting, tactics and the projection of a winning attitude.
The summer camp football training sessions are held at the following sports facilities:

About AC Milan
AC Milan was originally founded in 1899 under the name of Milan Cricket and Football Club. In 1901, the club one its first championship, followed by two more in 1906 and 1907.
In the 1940s, the name AC Milan was adopted and by the 1950s, the club had developed to an elite level. It was at this time that the famous Swedish trio of Liedholm, Gren and Nordah arrived.
The 1960s, saw the arrival of players such as Schiaffino and Altafini, but also the legendary coach, Nereo Rocco. In Europe, AC Milan started to establish themselves as a major player, beating Benfica of Portugal in the 1963 European Cup final to bag the first of their seven crowns.
During this period, AC Milan were led by club legend Giovanni Rivera. Under his guidance, the team won three Serie A titles, four Italian Cups, two European Cups and two UEFA Cup Winners' Cup.
Following Rivera’s retirement in 1979, the club entered a barren spell in which they also got relegated to the second tier. Salvation came in 1986 when Silvio Berlusconi took over the club, and during the next twenty years, some of the best players in the history of football graced to Milan turf including Gullit, Rijkaard and Van Basten.
Under the guidance of Coach Arrigo Saachi, the club won its first league title in nine years (1987-88) and its first European Cup in two decades (1988-89). They also one the European Cup in 1989-90 and remain the last club to have won back-to-back editions of the competition.
After Saachi, came the eras of Fabio Capello and Carlo Ancelotti and with them, came more success including three more European Cups in 1993–94, 2002–03 and 2006–07 and several more Italian league and cup titles.
Milan Dublin English Lessons
The English classes at the Milan football camp are aimed at students between 12 and 17 years of age. Each class has no more than 15 students with typical numbers between 10 and 12.
The classes are suitable for students at all levels of English. Following an initial assessment on arrival at the Dublin centre, the children are grouped according to their prior knowledge of the language.

The English language Courses
The language classes are held from 09:00am to 12:30am each morning between Monday and Friday, making a total of 15 hours of study per week. The classes are structured in three different blocks with short recreational breaks in between.
The first section addresses grammar and language, the second explores speaking and listening skills, while the final section gives the students a chance to put into practice all the language skills they have learnt in the lesson. The English modules for each group are hosted by two different teachers.

All of the language teachers at the Emerald Cultural Institute are suitably qualified and meet the requirements of the British Council (the standard-bearer for teaching in the UK and Ireland). They are specifically qualified to teach groups of foreign students in the required age groups.
Many of the teachers at the camp, have developed their teaching skills abroad enabling them to better understand the cultural needs of the students.
Milan Dublin Agenda
In addition to the football training and language classes, the camp also includes two activity programs split into afternoon and evening sections and a range of weekend excursions.
The entire group of students can participate in the afternoon activities which include games of bowling, and a traditional Irish music and dance spectacle on Tuesday and Thursdays respectively.
The football training sessions are led by coaches from AC Milan and take place each afternoon between Monday and Friday. The English classes are held in the morning of each weekday and last for three hours.
Saturdays may feature a football tournament contested between the AC Milan camp students or it may be allocated as a day off, during which the children can rest and relax.
On Sundays, a range of full-day excursions are organised. This could mean a trip to the National Heritage Park in Wexford, a visit to the National Sea Life Centre and Wicklow Gaol, or a day out in the city of Kilkenny including a trip to its famous castle.
The National Heritage Park showcases the traditional lifestyle of the ancient Irish people. The park is situated just three kilometres away from the town of Wexford, and 140 kilometres to the south of Dublin, near the coast.
The National Sea Life Centre and Wicklow Gaol are also fantastic attractions, with the Sea Life Centre offering a fascinating glimpse of the oceans through a range of themed displays, and the prison compound of Wicklow Gaol providing an interesting slice of local history. Both attractions are located to the south of Dublin and less than 50 kilometres from the capital city.
Kilkenny is a medieval town located to the south of Dublin. It has conserved important historic monuments, amongst them its castle with its interesting and unique cylindrical tower.
Milan Dublin Accommodation
Accommodation for the AC Milan football and English summer camp is located in the Marino residence in Dublin. The modern facility has the capacity to house 300 pupils and is very well-positioned, being close to the centre of Dublin and the city's airport.
The Marino residence offers single rooms with private bathrooms for all the students. Each room is comfortable and well-equipped with internet access and a desk.

Distance between facilities
The residence boasts a restaurant, gym and various outdoor sports pitches, as well as leisure rooms.
The English classes are taught in classrooms which are located in the same campus as the residence halls.
Throughout the duration of the course, students are supervised and monitored by a group of team leaders who are responsible for the safety of the children at all times including mealtimes, evenings and during the night.
Special attention is paid when travelling between the different centres and the sports fields as well as during group outings and tours.

- Step 1: Make a payment of 50% of the total cost of the program. (If you reserve after May 31st, you must pay 100% of the cost of the program to reserve.)
- Step 2: Turn in the required documents duly completed.

Once you have received the confirmation, you can buy your transportation tickets. If you have reserved the transfer service, be sure to send us an email regarding the details of your trip so we can successfully transport you to the camp.
